| Visitor Centre De Wissen is an ideal starting point for discovering the Maasland, whereby tourists can (re)discover this location in a unique way. The building is divided into three parts. On the ground floor, there is a reception area for visitors and tourists; on the first floor you get your first look at the culture, nature and history of the area. And then on the roof of the tower there is a viewing platform with a panoramic view of the surrounding area. It is an eye-catcher that can be seen from afar on the cycling route network and it will entice visitors to this exceptional area of the Maasvallei River Park. The De Wissen site also includes a guesthouse, a brasserie, paved walking trails, whisper boats and camping rafts. An added bonus is the lookout tower in the Ninoord walking area in Stokkem. The lookout tower gives you a beautiful view over the Maasvallei River Park and is accessible via a good footpath. This walking area is located at Visitors’ Centre De Wissen. | |
| Visitor Center De Wissen is een ideaal vertrekpunt om het Maasland te ontdekken waarbij de toerist deze locatie op een unieke manier kan (her)ontdekken. Het gebouw is drieledig. Gelijkvloers komt er een onthaal voor bezoekers en toeristen, op de eerste verdieping krijg je een eerste blik op de cultuur, natuur en historie van het gebied. En op het dak van de toren komt er een uitkijkplatform met panoramisch zicht op het omliggende gebied. Het is een eye-catcher die op het fietsroutenetwerk van veraf zichtbaar is en de mensen naar dit uitzonderlijke gebied van het RivierPark Maasvallei zal uitnodigen. De site De Wissen omvat ook nog een guesthouse, een brasserie, verharde wandelroutes, fluisterboten en kampeervlotten. Een extra troef is de uitkijktoren in het wandelgebied Negenoord te Stokkem. De uitkijktoren geeft je een prachtig zicht over het RivierPark Maasvallei en is ook via een goed wandelpad bereikbaar. Dit wandelgebied ligt aan Visitor Center De Wissen. |
