| Autoworld nodigt u uit om een reis doorheen de tijd te maken en de geschiedenis van de auto te ontdekken aan de hand van een unieke collectie: meer dan 300 voertuigen van uiteenlopende oorsprong. Sinds 2002 is een deel van de tentoonstelling gewijd aan de voertuigen van morgen. Meerdere concept cars werden hier al voorgesteld. De meeste oldtimers komen uit de verzameling Mahy, de belangrijkste collectie ter wereld (950 wagens). Hij toverde de auto's om van 'rijp voor de schroothoop' tot glimmende kunstwerkjes. De opstelling gebeurde volgens thema's: Geboorte van de Automobiel, de Belle Epoque, de grote oorlog, de gekke jaren, de jaren 30, de Tweede Wereldoorlog, de jaren 50, Gouden jaren in Europa, de autobouw in België en verzamelingen: collectie Mahy, collectie Marcel Thiry, de zaal Pierre d’Ieteren, Salon Automobile van 1902 en Auto Design Story. Het restaurant biedt overigens een prachtig zicht op de verzamelde wagens. Een gemiddeld bezoek aan het museum vergt zo'n anderhalf uur. | |
| Autoworld invites you to discover the automotive history through a unique and outstanding collection : more than 300 vehicles, of all origins. Since 2002, part of the exposition is dedicated to tomorrows vehicles. Several concept cars have already been shown at this exposition. Most classic cars come from the Mahy collection, the most important collection of the world (950 cars). He converted the cars 'ready to be scrapped' to shiny works of art. The entire collection was set up according to themes: The Origin of the Automobile, the Belle Epoque, the Great War, the Crazy Years, the Thirties, the Second World War, the Fifties, the Golden Years in Europe,the Belgian production and collections: the Mahy collection, the Thiry Marcel collection, the Gallery Pierre D'Ieteren, the 1902 Motor Show and Auto Design Story. The restaurant offers a wonderful view of the collected cars. An average visit to the museum takes about one hour and a half. |
