The museum is accessible to wheelchair users. The full museum experience takes place on one floor, with plenty of space everywhere to move around — and of course, to play! Mental age doesn’t matter; everyone is engaged with the collection and the museum’s interactive elements. A companion of a person with a disability can enter free of charge, and assistance dogs are welcome too. If you need a moment of calm, you can visit the low-stimulation room. There’s also a sensory room with gentle stimuli, designed for those who benefit from extra sensory input in a safe environment. At the reception desk, you can request an autism kit: a handy sensory toolkit for people with autism or anyone who is easily overstimulated. Het museum is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers. De volledige museumbeleving speelt zich af op één verdieping en er is overal voldoende ruimte om te draaien of te keren én om te spelen natuurlijk. De mentale leeftijd speelt geen rol, iedereen is betrokken bij de collectie en interactieve elementen van het museum. Een begeleider van iemand met een beperking mag gratis mee naar binnen, en ook een assistentiehond is welkom. Wie nood heeft aan rust, kan terecht in de ontprikkelruimte. Daarnaast is er ook een prikkelruimte met zachte zintuigprikkels, voor wie net wat extra stimulatie nodig heeft in een veilige setting. Aan het onthaal kan je een autikoffer vragen: een handige sensorische toolkit voor mensen met autisme of wie snel overprikkeld raakt.
