| Nowadays, you only find reindeer in the far north, around the Arctic Circle. But more than 11 000 years ago, it was freezing cold in Zonhoven and its surroundings and you could encounter these animals here too. Our distant ancestors, the reindeer hunters, roamed in the wake of the reindeer herds. You will discover all about it on the 3 km long 'Reindeer Hunter's Trail' in 'De Teut' nature reserve. |
