De Gebrande Winning is het restaurant dat uit de grond werd gestampt in, November 2014, door chef Raf Sainte. Zijn obsessie voor pure producten en lokale ingrediënten erfde hij van grootmoeder Simone. Zij trok met de 'big shopper' in de hand de hele stad door op zoek naar de meest vlezige ribben, de sappigste kip van ’t spit, groenten en fruit teelde ze zelf. Daarmee maakte ze de typische gerechten die alleen een grootmoeder op tafel kan toveren. Deze liefde voor zorgvuldigheid en producten zit ook bij Chef Raf Sainte in het bloed.
