| The Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp was completed in 1521, no fewer than 170 years after it started. It is the largest Gothic church in the Low Countries. Today you can still find four masterpieces by Rubens in the cathedral: The Elevation of the Cross (triptych, 1609-1610), The Descent from the Cross (triptych, 1612), The Resurrection of Christ (triptych, 1612) and The Assumption of Mary (altarpiece, 1626). | |

Vandaag de dag vind je nog altijd vier meesterwerken van Rubens in de kathedraal: De kruisoprichting (drielijk, 1609-1610), De kruisafneming (drieluik, 1612), De verreijzenis van Christus (triptiek, 1612) en De hemelvaart van Maria (altaarstuk, 1626). |
