| Het Brugse stadhuis dateert van 1376 en is een van de oudste in de Lage Landen. Van hieruit wordt de stad al meer dan 600 jaar bestuurd. Een absolute must is de Gotische Zaal die met haar muurschilderingen van omstreeks 1900 en haar gewelf een schitterend kunstwerk is. In de historische zaal ernaast wordt met originele documenten en kunstwerken de geschiedenis van het Stadsbestuur verteld. Op de benedenverdieping wordt in een gratis multimediale tentoonstelling de evolutie van de Burg geïllustreerd. | |
| Bruges' City Hall dates back to 1376 and is one of the Oldest in the Low Countries. This is the place where the city has been governed for more than 600 years. An absolute must is the Gothic Hall, which is a magnificent work of art with its murals from aound 1900 and its vault. The adjacent historic hall with original documents and works of art tells the history of the city council. On the gound floor, a free multimedia exhibition illustrates the evolution of the Burg. |
