Soepbar Sordo is een klein maar gezellig soephuisje in het centrum van Gent, vlakbij het Gravensteen en het Patershol. Sordo betekent doof in het Spaans en deze naam past perfect bij de soepbar. Aan de toog zijn leuke en simpele gebarentekeningen aangebracht. Je kan het nabootsen of simpelweg wijzen. Moeilijk is het niet. Het is zoals op reis gaan naar het verre buitenland : je spreekt de lokale taal niet en toch slaag je er altijd in om te vragen wat je wil, nietwaar? De zaak is niet rolstoeltoegankelijk. @nl |

Soepbar Sordo is a small but cosy soup house in the centre of Ghent, near the Gravensteen and the Patershol. Sordo means deaf in Spanish, which is the perfect name for this soup bar. There are fun and simple sign language drawings on the bar. You can use the sign language or just point. It's as easy as that. It's like going on holiday to a faraway destination: you don't speak the local language but you always find a way to ask for what you want. This cafe is not wheelchair friendly. @en |
