The access path to the entrance of the Fruit Experience Centre (entrance via the tourist office, front of the syrup factory) is approximately 80 m long. Inside the experience centre, a short indoor staircase leads to the room where syrup is made. For visitors with reduced mobility or wheelchair users, an elevator is available. This elevator is accessible from outside (ground floor, back of the building) and may only be used under the supervision of a syrup factory staff member. The start of the route through the Fruit Experience Centre is on the first floor of the tourist office and is accessible via stairs or platform lift. In the syrup factory, there are two staircases and two elevators. The experience centre is well signposted both inside and outside. @en |

In het belevingscentrum is er een korte binnentrap aanwezig om de ruimte waar de siroop gestookt wordt te kunnen bezoeken. Voor personen die moeilijk ter been zijn of rolstoelgebruikers is er een lift aanwezig. Deze lift is bereikbaar via buiten (gelijkvloers, achterkant gebouw) en mag enkel onder begeleiding van een medewerker van de stroopfabriek gebruikt worden. De start van de route doorheen het fruitbelevingscentrum bevindt zich op de eerste verdieping van het infokantoor en is bereikbaar via de trap of plateaulift van het infokantoor. In de stroopfabriek zijn er twee trappen alsook twee liften aanwezig. In de omgeving staat het belevingscentrum goed aangeduid. Zowel buiten als binnen is er voldoende signalisatie en bewegwijzering aanwezig. @nl |

Borgloon’s restored syrup factory is one of the last remnants of the industrial processing of fruit into syrup. You can view old installations there and learn about the process of ‘syrup firing’. In the visitors’ centre, you follow the path of a delicious piece of fruit at your own pace via fun experience modules: from budding fruit to its processing in regional products such as Loonse syrup. De gerestaureerde stroopfabriek van Borgloon is één van de laatste restanten van de industriële verwerking van fruit tot stroop. Je kan er oude installaties bekijken en het proces van ‘stroopstoken’ leren kennen. In het bezoekerscentrum volg je via leuke belevingsmodules op eigen tempo de weg die een lekker stuk fruit aflegt: van ontluikende vrucht tot de verwerking ervan in streekproducten zoals de Loonse stroop.
