Ontdek het bezoekerscentrum met zijn unieke ligging tussen bos en duin. Bezoekerscentrum Duinpanne ligt midden in een gevarieerd wandelparadijs: in de Oosthoekduinen, vlakbij het Calmeynbos en het Westhoekreservaat. Probeer één van de verschillende wandelroutes of ga met de kids speuren in de vernieuwde duintuin. Langs het parcours nodigen belevingsplatformen met onderwatercamera’s, grondwatermeters en virtual realitykijkers bezoekers uit om de verborgen natuurpracht van de duinen te ontdekken. In de bar geniet je van streekbieren, fairtrade drankjes en hoeve-ijsjes. Het terras is bij mooi weer een fantastische plek. Discover the visitor centre with its unique location between forest and dunes. The Duinpanne Visitor Centre is located in the middle of a varied walking paradise: in the Oosthoek dunes, close to the Calmeynbos and the Westhoek reserve. Try one of the various walking routes or take the children on a treasure hunt in the renovated dune garden. Along the route, experience platforms with underwater cameras, groundwater meters and virtual reality viewers invite visitors to discover the hidden natural beauty of the dunes. In the bar, you can enjoy local beers, fair trade drinks and farmhouse ice cream. The terrace is a fantastic place to sit when the weather is nice. Discover the permanent exhibition “Sea Change”, which is entirely dedicated to the sea. See the skeleton of Orca Reveil, the sea giant that washed ashore at the end of October 2023. De inrichting van de tentoonstelling is voornamelijk op maat van kinderen gemaakt. Bijgevolg zijn vitrines,knoppen en schermen al verlaagd aangebracht. Niet alle elementen zijn onderrijdbaar met de rolstoel. Sommige teksten hangen wat hoog. De nieuwe wandelroute en zijpaden in de duintuin zijn aangelegd in comfortabel toegankelijk materiaal (Franse dolomiet), en een slingerend vlonderpad brengt bezoekers dichter bij de kwetsbare mosduinen. @nl |
