| Het vernieuwde Museum aan de IJzer in de IJzertoren vertelt het verhaal van het Belgisch-Duitse front tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog aan de hand van verhalen van soldaten, vluchtelingen en burgers aan beide kanten van het front. In het museum wordt geen vrijblijvende boodschap gebracht, maar een duidelijke opdracht meegegeven: Nooit meer oorlog! Daarnaast worden ook de politieke consequenties van deze oorlog die uitmonden in de Vlaamse ontvoogdingsstrijd toegelicht. Naast het uitzicht over het voormalige IJzerfront kan je bovenop de 84 meter hoge toren ook genieten van een schitterend panorama over Diksmuide en de Westhoek.
