There is a lift in the building itself. All rooms have wide passageways. The garden is landscaped with wide paths and entrance gates.Lectures can take place in the Burchardt Room in the Kolveniershof. This room is only accessible via stairs and is therefore not accessible for wheelchair users and visitors with limited mobility. @en |

Kunstenaar, marketeer, wetenschapper, diplomaat en familiemens. Rubens was een buitengewoon talent, maar ook een doodgewone man. In het Rubenshuis woonde en werkte hij een groot deel van zijn leven. Hier leefde hij graag en gulzig. In Rubens Experience zie je Rubens’ beroemde zelfportret en ontdek je wie Rubens écht was. In de baroktuin wandel je van het ene Rubensverhaal in het andere en in de bibliotheek duik je in zijn leven. De kunstenaarswoning is tijdelijk gesloten voor verbouwingen en dus niet toegankelijk. Vanuit de tuin heb je wel een prachtig zicht op de architectuur.In het Rubenshuis is iedereen van harte welkom. Jong of oud, alleen of in een groep, met of zonder beperking. Ons ervaren team staat altijd voor je klaar. We streven er dan ook naar om een toegankelijke en inclusieve plaats te zijn. @nl |

He lived here with joy and passion.In the Rubens Experience, you’ll see Rubens’ famous self-portrait and discover who Rubens truly was. In the baroque garden, you’ll walk from one Rubens story into another, and in the library, you’ll dive into his life.The artist’s residence is temporarily closed for renovations and therefore not accessible. From the garden, however, you have a beautiful view of the architecture.Everyone is warmly welcome at the Rubens House. Young or old, alone or in a group, with or without disabilities. In the garden, you walk from one Rubens story into another. For Rubens and his family, the garden was a place to meet friends and family, and a playground for the children. Today, more than 22,000 bulbs, perennials, trees, shrubs and bushes grow here. The garden is laid out with wide paths and entrance gates. De interactieve toepassingen in Rubens Experience zijn lager en op maat van rolstoegebruikers. Snel vermoeid? Er zijn zitbankjes voorzien en met een museumstoel - beschikbaar in Rubens Experience en de tuin - rust je uit waar je wil. Er staan twee rolstoelen gratis ter beschikking aan de balie. Op voorhand een rolstoel of draagzak voor baby’s reserveren kan via rubenshuis@antwerpen.be. Geleidehonden zijn toegestaan. Begeleiders krijgen gratis toegang op vertoon van een European Disability Card. @nl |

The interactive features in Rubens Experience are lower and adapted for wheelchair users. Easily fatigued? Benches are available, and with a museum chair - available in Rubens Experience and the garden - you can rest wherever you like. Two wheelchairs are available free of charge at the desk. You can reserve a wheelchair or baby carrier in advance via rubenshuis@antwerpen.be. Guide dogs are allowed. Companions receive free admission upon presentation of a European Disability Card. @en |
