As a wheelchair user, ask for the special tickets with which you can open the gate for groups. This gate is the wheelchair-friendly alternative to the swing gate at the entrance. When leaving the site, someone accompanying the group must first go through the swing gate and then open the gate for the wheelchair users with the special ticket. Wheelchair users cannot descend into the trenches, but you have a good view of the trench system from a semi-hardened path. At one spot, there is a lowered entrance where you have a better view into the trenches. |
